Rusty Chinnis, photographer and writer has used his images and words both artistically as well as in the service of the environment. Rusty’s images reveal his love for the outdoor world and reflect the iconic locations and natural diversity of an old Florida that is quickly disappearing. He expresses his vision with realistic images as well as images that are reimagined to enhance their uniqueness.
Rusty was co-founder of the Sister Keys Conservancy, and is Chairman Emeritus of Sarasota Bay Watch an environmental organization he helped to found. Rusty served as President of the Florida Outdoor Writers Association where he received numerous awards for his photography and writing. His images and articles have appeared in numerous magazines and newspapers for more than 25 years. Rusty lives in the Longbeach Village on the north end of Longboat Key.
