COME PAINT WITH US!
Please join us for a morning of painting with fellow plein air artists on beautiful Anna Maria Island!
There are sand dunes, beach and ocean views at the West end of Pine Ave., as well as big cypress trees and the Sandbar Restaurant. Along Pine you’ll find cute old restored cottages, coffee/donut shops, a general store, restaurants/cafes/boutiques, a 100 year old church, a historical museum, and residential/commercial structures. To the East there are views of the Tampa Bay and Sunshine Skyway in the distance.
*NEW THIS YEAR*
Bring a frame if you would like to submit your painting to be in a group show of the morning’s work, which will be on display and for sale through November 3rd at the Studio at Gulf and Pine Art Gallery! You may also bring up to 3 more recent (completed within the past 2 years) plein air pieces for the 2nd annual “Plein Air Affair” Exhibit, which will be held in conjunction with the OPA Paint Out show.
This event is free, you do not have to be an Oil Painters of America member to participate, all ages, mediums and experiences levels are welcome.

We will meet at the Studio at Gulf and Pine Art Gallery, 10101 Gulf Drive, at 9am to check in and from there you are welcome to paint anywhere along the intersecting Pine Ave. At the West end of the road are scenic beach views and at the East end there are nice bay views. At noon we will all reconvene at The Studio at Gulf and Pine to share our work and have light refreshments. Optional critiques will be offered by several of the area’s leading artists and instructors. The Sandbar Restaurant is very nearby if anyone would like to then gather together after noon to have lunch.
