Cooking Classes with Locally Sourced Ingredients
The popular Culinary Art Cooking Classes at the Studio at Gulf and Pine are back! Discover new recipes and culinary techniques from the Master Chefs of the Sandbar, Beach House and Mar Vista Restaurants. These hands-on cooking classes will feature a variety of locally sourced sustainable ingredients and fresh summer flavors to create delicious meals. In the relaxed and beautiful setting of the Studio art gallery, you will enjoy learning how to make dishes that will be sure to impress your guests at your next dinner party or special occasion. Meet new friends during a family style setting where you will share and enjoy all the dishes you prepare along with selective wines. Each class features a unique culinary theme. Classes will be held on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. Each class is $99 per person and includes an apron, local ingredients, wine, recipes, and lunch or dinner. Thursday, May 9 – Love Yourself Every Day of the Week
Chef Will Manson’s class will show you how to prepare various foods in a way to extend shelf life and maintain quality, freshness, and flavor. This class will concentrate on working proteins into your daily meal. Enjoy making delicious Ratatouille Quesadilla, Pork Medallions sautéed with Sauce Charcuterie, Saffron Risotto Cakes, and Key Lime Pie.
Thursday, May 16 – Life is a Mystery
Join Chef Kevin Morash to create a succulent dish with Lobster, Shrimp, Kimchi, Clams, Tomato, Scallops, Watermelon Radish, and NY Sirloin.
Thursday, May 23 – Soup is Good for the Soul
Chef Kevin Morash’s tasty menu will include fresh Chicken Sausage Gumbo, homemade New England Clam Chowder, and assorted soup accompaniments.
Thursday, May 30 – Spring has Sprung
Come learn with Chef Eva Worden as she makes Collard Green Leaf Sushi with Fermented and Pickled Veggies, Wild Boar and Veggie Stir Fry with Herb Rice and Asian Fermented Kimchi.
Monday, June 10 – Date Night with My Sweets
Enjoy working alongside Executive Chef Rich Demarse and create delicious Shrimp Cocktail with Absolute Peppar Cocktail Sauce, Filet of Beef Tenderloin with Port Wine Jus and finish with Cherries Jubilee.
Monday, June 17 – Let it Cook
Come learn with Chef Horacio Eagan and make tender Beef Bourguignon with Pearl Onion on our fresh baked Sourdough Bread, Roast Chicken with Herb Rice and Carrots, and slow cooker Apple Crisp. Chef will demo using an instapot.
Monday, June 24 – Local Garden Picks
Chef Toffer Jacobs will surprise you with morning tea, followed by Seafood Crudo with Moringa Root, Salad with our Local Favorite Veggies, and Collard Green Spring Roll. This class will include a tour of the Sandbar garden with Zach Rasmussen.Book Now
